For more than 150 years, this corner has been a place where the people of Downtown Perry have gathered. From W.D. Day's mercantile store in the late 1800s to the Perry Loan & Savings Bank and, later, an outdoor gathering space, this property has always been part of the community's story.
Today, John and Rachael Cato are honored to continue that legacy through The Corner Social. Their vision is simple: create a place where community comes first. A place where people can gather over great food, craft cocktails, live entertainment, and meaningful conversations while supporting the local businesses and entrepreneurs that make Perry unique.
John and Rachael believe that some of the most talented chefs, caterers, bakers, food trucks, and culinary entrepreneurs simply need an opportunity to be seen. The Corner Social was created to give those local businesses a professional venue to host pop-up restaurants, introduce new menus, test new concepts, and grow their brands without the enormous investment of opening a permanent restaurant.
More than an event space, The Corner Social is designed to be a hub for creativity, collaboration, and entrepreneurship. Whether it's a family celebrating a milestone, a couple hosting a wedding reception, a local business holding a networking event, or a first-time chef serving their signature dishes, every gathering adds to the story of Downtown Perry.
As lifelong entrepreneurs and members of this community, John and Rachael understand that thriving downtowns are built by investing in local people. Their hope is that The Corner Social becomes a place where small businesses flourish, friendships are formed, visitors discover everything Perry has to offer, and unforgettable memories are created.
